Aberfeldy Creates presents Follow Your Senses, a fun and interactive trail inviting you to explore Aberfeldy and find colourful sculptures by following an illustrated map. The sculpture trail is designed and conceptualised as a sensory visual experience by local Poplar Works based artist Ellen Rock. Featuring her signature prints transformed into vivid painterly sculptures thoughtfully placed throughout the Aberfeldy area and estate. The trail is navigated by a hand-illustrated map and explores the various senses of ‘Listen’, ‘Play’, ‘Look’ and ‘Touch’.
Each sculpture is thoughtfully positioned in a way that integrates with the local community designed to provoke joy, curiosity and a colourful celebration of the neighbourhood and it’s rich and vibrant community.
- Sunshine Bench – A community seat where families and individuals can pause. Situated by the fountains it is a meditative place of rest where residents can enjoy the ‘warmth of the sun’.
- Tree of Love – Designed to be a colourful pillar within the green space this sculpture is designed with vibrant branches including symbols which are featured throughout the trail.
- Hold my Hand – A visual sign-post on the entry to Poplar Works, this sculpture features 3-D symbols and encourages a sense of friendship and creativity.
